ch.3 pg. 176 ex. 4
graphing an equation;
graph the equation;
3x+y=2
plot at least 5 points.
solution:
if x = -2 then y=-3(-2)+2=8
if x=-1 then y=3(-1)+2=5
if x = 0 then y= 3(0)+2=2
if x= 1 then y= 3(1)+2=-1
if x =2 then y= -3(2)+2= -4
then plot all of the ordered pairs, beginning with the first number to be x, then the 2nd number is y.
ex. 7 pg. 178
